To log in to your NETGEAR router and manage network settings:
- Open a Browser: Type in

. - Enter Login Details: Use the default username and password:
- Username: admin
- Password: password
- Access Settings: Click “OK” to enter the router’s admin panel.
Changing Your Network Name (SSID) and WiFi Password
- Log in to the Admin Panel: Open a browser, go to

, and log in with your username and password. - Go to the Wireless Tab: In this section, locate the field labeled Wireless Network Name (SSID) and enter your desired network name.
- Set Your Password: Under Security Options (WPA2-PSK), enter your new WiFi password.
- Save Changes: Click “Apply” to update your network name and password.
Recovering a Forgotten NETGEAR Admin Password
If you’ve forgotten your NETGEAR admin password, you can use the password recovery feature:
- Connect to the NETGEAR Network: Ensure your computer is connected to your NETGEAR WiFi.
- Open a Browser and Go to the Login Page: Type
www.routerlogin.net
orwww.routerlogin.com
. - Access the Password Recovery Page: When the login screen appears, click “Cancel.” This should redirect you to the Router Password Recovery page.
- Enter Your Router’s Serial Number: Find the serial number on the label at the back or bottom of the router, enter it, and click “Continue.”
- Answer Security Questions: If you remember the answers, enter them to recover the password. If not, you may need to reset your router to factory settings.
- View Your Admin Password: Once the security questions are answered, your admin password will be displayed on the screen.
